Meet Your Captain
Captain John checks all the boxes when it comes to salmon fishing on Lake Ontario. He has thirty years experience on the lake with twenty of those years fishing out from Darlington/Newcastle. With a love of nature and fishing, he obtained a Fish and Wildlife Technology diploma from Fleming College in the 1990s. Since then he has had fisheries positions in Ontario, British Columbia, and as far away Alaska. This has given him a knowledge of salmon and trout behaviour.
John’s love of fishing shines when he is guiding his clients to their first big chinook salmon. Safety is always his priority, which is enhanced by the addition of marine safety courses and marine first aid courses.
